Our business-driven rotational early talent program
Overview
Overview
The Discovery Program begins with orienting students to ABB’s businesses and providing technical training of ABB’s products, with factory and substation visits to enhance the experience. On completion of the month-long familiarization, Discovery trainees are evaluated and given a job assignment at any of ABB’s factories/offices in India. Job assignments will be distinctly varied in terms of location of posting and division, providing a broad understanding of the organization.

Program structure

Writing your story as a global Robotics trainee means that within a 18 to 24-months program you run through different assignments. After finishing the program you will start in your permanent position. 
01
Introduction
In the first 2 to 4 weeks you get to know the team in your home country. Additionally, you will spend another 8 to 10 weeks in Shanghai to learn more about the global business area.

Assignment I
During the first assignment you will stay in your home country, completing a 9 to 12 months experience. You will work within a specific function and assigned to a project. You will also receive dedicated leadership training. 
03
Assignment II
Your second assignment takes you abroad for another 6 to 9 months. 
In your host country you will again work in a function or on a specific project.
