Juhana holds degrees in accounting from Aalto University and CEMS Master’s in International Management. When he saw the graduate position for finance, he was intrigued even though the technology industry was entirely new for him. “Happy to say – my ABB journey so far has been precious, and I could not have made better choice!” Juhana says.
Through the Global Early Talent Program, Juhana was able to gain work experience around the world. While he completed his last rotation at the ABB Robotics and Discrete Automation’s finance organization in the USA, Juhana had previously worked in Helsinki, Finland with the local Process Industries division in the Process Automation business as well with Motion business. He has also had an opportunity to work in the Controlling and Planning CoE team at ABB’s Headquarters in Zürich, Switzerland. After completing the Global Early Talent Program, he joined ABB Switzerland as a Finance & Sustainability Analyst.
Through his international experience, he has had the chance to learn from highly skilled finance experts globally, get involved in fascinating projects and network globally, and make friends in the USA, Canada, Mexico, all over Europe and Asia – and all this remotely. In addition, he had also learned about presentation skills and obtained a Yellow belt in Lean6Sigma. “ABB has enabled me to learn a lot in a brief time. Of course, you might get thrown at a task where you start from nothing since it is a new concept for you. Still, having this huge community of ABB people ensures that there is always an expert within the area who is happy to support you.” Juhana says.
“For me, the people matter and motivate me the most. I have felt that everyone has been embracing and supporting me already along the way. Also, the work-life balance is something that is taken care of well. This combination supports nicely my career aspirations.
