What support and training will you receive?

The program gives you the chance to develop your skills and expertise through seminars, events and individual training and development. Soft skills trainings can include communication and presentation techniques, intercultural awareness, working in virtual teams, interview training and social media trainings. Hard skills and professional trainings depend on the role and the assignment. They can focus on particular softwares, project management approaches, health and safety and sales techniques among others.

What functions does the program cover?

ABB Discovery can target both graduates (bachelor's or master's) with engineering/STEM background and candidates for other functions, such as finance or marketing for example. Targeted profiles vary from intake to intake and are based on the evolution of our Business Areas and technologies. The job description will contain all details about the required background.

When does the program start?

The program can include one or two intakes per year depending on the local setup. Common start dates will depend on the host country, but they typically include April, June, July, and October.

What does the hiring process look like?

Our priority is to guarantee an excellent candidate experience and hire talents with the best fit. To ensure this, we follow a fair and thorough process. After the initial application screening, shortlisted candidates are invited to a first virtual interview using the latest available technologies. Suitable candidates are invited to proceed based on an assessment (where applicable) and/or a series of interviews with our experts. The final step might be an offer to join our program!

What opportunities do I have after the program?

During the program you will experience different assignments and tasks, and work in various teams. In the final months of the program, you will have the chance to apply for available final positions and start find your future in the work that powers the world.
