Do you want to win a summer internship with ABB?

ABB is one of the largest robotics manufacturers in the world. The legendary two-arms robot, the YuMi, was the first of its kind revolutionizing the way humans and robots collaborate.
Roboticists around the world have uploaded numerous videos showing the possibilities of YuMi as an inspiration for others.
Let this inspiration continue here and now with the Yumi challenge!​​

Why this challenge?
Simple: we want to have some more fancy programs to be used as demostration of YuMi's abilities and we want to engage with great talents.
If you have a good idea and you want to present it to us, then take up the challenge! 
You have the chance to win a Summer Internship at ABB in Norway!

Important: you must be a student in a Norwegian University for the entire period of the challenge to be able to participate.

How it works

01
Basic requirements and ideas submission
  • You are a student in a Norwegian University for the whole duration of the challenge
  • You have a professor that can supervise you (though this is not a thesis work)
  • Submit your idea by November 15, 2021 to Education@no.abb.com

Announcing the best ideas
  • After the submission of the ideas, ABB will evaluate and select 3 of them by November 22, 2021
  • Those 3 will be given access to the Robotstudio software and license to build the demo and present it to ABB
  • Out of the 3 ideas, only one will be the winner of the competition and will get the opportunity for a Summer Internship at ABB in Norway!

Submission of the demos
  • Demos should be submitted to ABB by no later than May 30, 2022
