Inspiring girls in STEM

Isha’s journey at ABB shows what it looks like to solve real problems that keep communities powered, grow professionally in a collaborative environment, and inspire the next generation of girls in STEM.

Isha | Electrical Engineer – R&D, New Zealand

From intern to impact

Being part of the Discovery Program allowed me to explore different management styles and team dynamics, which helped shape my own approach to problem-solving and communication.

Tishira | Process Improvement Specialist, United States

From values to empowerment

For Beatrice, empowerment isn't a buzzword – it's the driving force behind her journey at ABB. From fostering a culture of inclusion to building strong connections across international markets, she brings courage, and authenticity to everything she does.

Beatrice | Product Marketing Specialist,  Italy

Flexibility as key driver for growth

Moving between different roles and divisions within ABB has taught me to be adaptable and open to new challenges. This flexibility has allowed me to grow and thrive in various environments.
Seeing how diversity has improved and become more accepted at work has been very rewarding.

Kulchada | Sales Manager,  Finland

Celebrating 22 years at ABB

Looking back over two decades, it’s a challenge to mention how ABB has changed my life professionally and personally. Today, I can clearly state some of the aspects that merge ABB's story with mine – values, family, people, global challenges, adaptability, teamwork, dedication, resilience, and the drive for professional and personal development.

Regina | Global Product Market Manager for Indoor Products in ELDS, Spain

Always believe in yourself

I have spent most of my career in a male-dominated industry. Contrary to the common perception that women might be overlooked in such an industry, I have always felt respected, welcomed, and included. Throughout these experiences, I’ve been very fortunate to have worked with many wonderful leaders, both male and female.

Tracy | Regional HR Leader,  Malaysia

Our collaborations

ABB and SWE

SWE is a global organization which strives to empower women in their careers as engineers and leaders while demonstrating the value that diversity and inclusion (D&I) provides to engineering and technology professions. ABB is proud to be a part of SWE’s Corporate Partnership Council (CPC), which annually sponsors over 120 employees with global SWE memberships, and subsequently supports SWE’s mission towards gender parity in the workplace, a goal that aligns closely with ABB’s own D&I strategy.

ABB and Women in Tech Finland

Ever since 2015, ABB Finland and Women in Tech have been working together towards a shared goal: to promote diversity and inclusion within the technology sector. This collaboration aims to support and encourage women in their tech career paths and create a more inclusive environment.

Partnership: FIA Girls on Track

Our partnership with the FIA Girls on Track program seeks to empower the next generation of women by encouraging them into STEM careers. Using the exceptional platform provided by ABB Formula E, FIA Girls On Track runs workshops at selected races through the season, to both inspire and show practical support for girls and young women considering careers in motorsport or other engineering-related fields.
