A story of re-entry with clarity, courage, and commitment.

Joining ABB early in her career, she quickly found herself immersed in an environment that encouraged ownership, learning, and accelerated growth.

The Beginning of a Meaningful Corporate Journey

From day one, she embraced opportunities that allowed her to work closely with teams, support people-centric initiatives, and contribute to high-impact workplace priorities.

Her role evolved steadily, and she gained the trust of her peers and leaders alike by demonstrat-ing maturity, agility, and a strong sense of accountability early in her career. Reflecting on this phase, she describes it as an “intense yet transformative learning curve that built my professional grounding.”

Growing with Trust and Responsibility

As she continued to progress, Trishu was entrusted with larger responsibilities that required stra-tegic thinking, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities. Despite being early in her career, her ability to take initiative and collaborate effectively helped her gain credibility across functions. She was often recognized for her proactive approach, struc-tured thinking, and commitment to people-centric outcomes.
The momentum of her journey was strong — and it was only just beginning.

“Your break does not define your professional worth. What matters is how you return—with clarity, confidence, and conviction.”

Our values are the cornerstone of our culture. They shape everything we do, guide our behavior and interactions with our colleagues, customers, partners and society as a whole, and help us realize our purpose. By living our four ABB values, we lead by example in how we do business and behave.
A Purposeful Pause: Prioritizing Family, Preserving Potential

In 2017, Trishu embraced an important life milestone — motherhood. Understanding the need to be fully present during this transition, she made the conscious decision to pause her corporate ca-reer. She resigned from her role in early 2018, stepping away with the belief that her career chap-ter would not close, but rather return with renewed clarity.

“It wasn’t a step back; it was a strategic pause,” she reflects. “I knew I would return stronger—I just needed the right time and mindset.”

Rediscovering Identity and Reigniting Confidence

Like many professionals who take a career break, the journey to re-entry was not without self-reflection. For Trishu, this was a period of rediscovery. She used this time to realign her long-term aspirations, stay connected with industry trends, and evaluate how she wanted to reposition herself upon return.

Rather than allowing the break to define her, she transformed it into a catalyst for resilience, clarity, and renewed ambitio

A Strategic Return: Re-entering the Corporate Arena with Purpose

When Trishu returned to the corporate world, she did so with greater confidence, maturity, and a sharper sense of direction. Her return was defined not just by coming back to work, but by step-ping back into a leadership mindset. She re-entered the workforce ready to drive impact — equipped with stronger emotional intelli-gence, enhanced empathy, and an evolved ability to navigate complex workforce dynamics.

Trishu’s comeback journey demonstrates that career breaks do not diminish capability. Instead, they can build emotional strength and leadership readiness.
Leading with Experience, Empathy, and Strategic Thinkin

Today, Trishu contributes meaningfully to strategic people initiatives, helping enable work envi-ronments that foster inclusion, engagement, and long-term development. Her journey has shaped her into a leader who understands both ambition and transition — and uses that understanding to support others in their career journeys.

She emphasizes the importance of enabling a culture that acknowledges career breaks without judgment and builds pathways for successful re-entry.
Inspiring the Next Wave of Comebacks

For women who may be considering—or returning from—a career break, Trishu has a powerful message:

“Your break does not define your professional worth. What matters is how you return—with clarity, confidence, and conviction.”

Her story stands as an inspiration for women who aspire to re-enter the workforce and continue their growth with renewed direction. Through her journey, she reinforces the need for organiza-tions to build strong returnship ecosystems, and for women to believe in the enduring value of their experience.
