Since his training days, Tamas Sipos has been associated with ABB. While he completed his technical training with a partner company as part of a cooperative education program, he started his first permanent position in Field Service at ABB. "At the end of my training, ABB approached me about a Field Service Technician position." As Tamas had gained insights into the company and its culture during his training, when selected for the role, he accepted with confidence.
Whilst Tamas had completed an apprenticeship, he was the first Field Service Engineer at ABB without an academic education or master's degree. "The first years were challenging for me, and at the same time, the first successes were quickly visible." This was partly due to the comprehensive qualification and training measures provided to him. "ABB always rewarded my desire to continually improve and learn – all the promises made to me were ultimately fulfilled." Not only could he learn from experienced colleagues, but Tamas also brought new ideas and perspectives to his team. Over the years, he was able to handle increasingly complex product commissioning and expand his knowledge through various international assignments. Today, he is the one passing on his knowledge to younger colleagues.
Tamas’s 15+ years career at ABB is due in no small part to the diverse opportunities made available to him over the years. In addition to various positions in Field Service, he eventually took on additional leadership responsibilities. As a team leader, it is particularly important for Tamas to always be there for his team. "Our team is characterized our commitment to always be there for each other and trust each other.
