What does your typical workday look like? What kind of projects and tasks do you work on?
It starts with calendarizing every activity for the day/week and categorizing my emails and prioritizing responses. My calendar typically starts with daily standup meetings and ends with solution review meetings. The projects and tasks I handle throughout the day can involve, for example, acting as a single point of contact for ServiceNow-related information, activities, and solutions for businesses, process owners, product owners, and business analysts. I’m also responsible for providing technical insight for development and support teams regarding best practices, reviewing solutions for complex requirements, and various other issues.
What kind of development opportunities have you had in your role?
There is an excellent learning opportunity in the role I am in. I have been responsible for building a better tool/application experience for and onboarded multiple countries, Businesses, divisions, and departments in ABB. There is an excellent range of opportunities to enhance product knowledge through internal and external training.
What is your favorite part about your role as an IS Solution Architect?
The favorite part of my role as a Solution Architect is that there is always an opportunity to learn. I am passionate about learning new almost every day. The role demands a lot of multitasking which I love to do.
