Coming from a family with proud links to the Italian Navy, Davide started out as a Cadet at the Italian Military Naval Academy in Livorno. It was there that he undertook technical training before studying at Politecnico di Bari university and University of Glasgow, where he graduated with bachelor and masters’ degrees in Electronic and Information Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering respectively.
David joined ABB Motion in 2014 working as a Product Manager in the Low Voltage General Purpose Drives division and covering the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems. In this product group, Davide was responsible for the Italian market based out of our Sesto San Giovanni office.
Working in a highly competitive market, Davide believes that building relationships with his customers has been the key to his success at ABB.
“I have learned so much from being with my customers”, said Davide. “I have found that meeting with them, visiting their premises and getting to know them has been incredibly valuable. The more you know about them means you can tweak your product offer to best suit them.”
Of ABB’s four values, Care is the closest to Davide’s heart. He attributes his care and commitment to customers for his successful move from Product Manager to Global Product Manager, and to his current role as Product Management Manager – Global offering General Purpose, HVAC and W&WW LV Drives. This career step meant moving from Italy to Finland, where the research and development on Drives is at its best. In his current position, Davide has expanded on the care value for his team, ensuring organization and discipline on one side, but also offering personal support and freedom to innovate.
