ABB Discovery Graduate Program is 18 months long and you will get the possibility to pick three assignments of your own choosing, where you will create real value and explore all that is ABB. You will get hands-on responsibility from day one and rapidly build your skills, broaden your network and find the perfect fit for you. Want to step out of your comfort zone? Or dig into your biggest passions? You can do both!
We offer:
18 months long program.
Full time, permanent employment from day one.
Direct transfer to a permanent placement after completion of the program.
3-6 months long international assignment after the permanent placement.
Cross-business rotations - no fixed track.
Internal ABB visits, customer visits and trainings.
Broad network through regular dinners with managers from ABB, activities togheter with the other ABB Discovery Graduates and other social events.
Activities with the global virtual community of ABB Discovery Graduates.
Before the start of the program, in the spring, you will be invited to a get-togheter with your fellow ABB Discovery Graduate colleagues and other ABB employees. You will get introduced to our facilities, our Business Areas, our products and our ABB Way. During these days you will have the possibility to network with managers and HR in order to find the assignment for you.
During your time in the program, you will have the opportunity to explore one of our production units for two weeks. This will get you hands on experience our products and a deeper understanding of the every day operations at ABB.
During the program you will pick 3 assignments of your own choosing, each lasting 6 months, where you get the opportunity to create real value and learn about our various businesses. The assignments are usually specific projects that you take ownership and responsibility for.
After the program, our hope is that you have found the place where you want to take the next step in your career. Your newly gained experiences, increased skills, and insights about ABB will help you find a suitable, challenging and exciting placement.
When you have been working at your permanent placement for a couple of months you will have the possibility to go abroad for 3-6 months and work at a unit in another country. The location will be decided togheter with your manager, usually you will visit a place where you will gain knowledge that will help you in your everyday work.
In addition to your assignments, part of your time as an ABB Discovery Graduate will be devoted to activities such as study visits, trainings and customer visits together with the other ABB Discovery Graduates. During these days, you will learn more about ABB's various products and operations, see the products in practise and meet colleagues from diffrent parts of the organization.
It is up to you and your fellow ABB Discovery Graduates to decide what you want to explore and who you want to meet.
A key part of the ABB Discovery experience are the training and personal development opportunities. You will be offered a variety of trainings and workshops that will prepare you for your future career.
ABB Discovery Graduate program exists in many of the countries that ABB operates in. You will be a part of the Global Graduate Community and have the opportunity to network over the borders.
Througout the length of the program, you will have a senior ABB employee as a mentor. Mentoring means to have a mutually beneficial relationship between the mentee and the mentor, that is defined by the mentee and the mentor, depending on individual preferences and needs.

Master's degree in engineering or a related discipline (studies must be completed before the start of the program).
No more than two years of professional experience in your field of study before the start date.
Excellent knowledge of English, Swedish is considered an asset.
Permanent permission to work in Sweden or SE/EU/CH/NO citizenship.
