ABBsolutely United – Empowering Women at ABB Switzerland
What started as a women’s leadership network has grown into ABBsolutely United – Empowering Women at ABB Switzerland, an Employee Resource Group (ERG) actively promoting balance and gender equality.
With over 350 active members, the network provides a space—both in-person and online—for connection, knowledge-sharing, and mutual support. Creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace is a collective effort, and everyone is welcome to be part of it.
Advance - Gender Equality in Business
As one of ten founding companies, ABB has been part of Advance since the beginning. Since then, over 145 Swiss-based companies have joined the association and are working together for greater gender equality in business. A major concern of Advance is the promotion of women in management positions.
FEMTEC
FEMTEC unites female STEM students, promotes and supports them in their personal career development. For many years, ABB, FEMTEC and other international partner companies and research institutes have been working together to advance their shared vision of more diversity and equality in the STEM world.
SVIN
Since 1997, ABB has been a proud supporter of SVIN – the Swiss Association of Women Engineers, which is dedicated to promoting diversity in STEM professions. Through this partnership, ABB team members can take part in SVIN’s mentoring program and engage in a range of inspiring events and initiatives that support career growth and networking.
Female Mentoring and Development Program
At ABB, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace where women can thrive and grow. The Female Development & Mentoring Program (FDMP) is designed to empower and elevate female talent by providing mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.
Over the course of a year, mentees gain valuable guidance from experienced mentors, connect with senior leaders, and build a close-knit community of peers. With more than 300 participants already benefiting from the program, FDMP continues to open doors, boost confidence, and support women in taking the next step in their careers.With over 350 active members, the network provides a space—both in-person and online—for connection, knowledge-sharing, and mutual support. Limes
Limes is ETH Zurich’s student association for women studying electrical and mechanical engineering. It was founded by four students in 2012 and emerged as the first women network in engineering at ETH Zurich.
