Pattamaporn graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Khon Kaen University in 2001, facing a challenging job market during the Tom Yum Kung economic crisis. Many graduates found it difficult to secure good jobs. Fortunately, through perseverance, she landed her first role at a small local company. This experience, along with the support of an old friend, ultimately led her to join ABB in 2004.

Pattamaporn’s journey at ABB has been one of continuous learning and growth. She started as a Design Engineer in the Low Voltage Switchgear Business and actively sought knowledge to gain a deeper understanding of electrical systems. ABB, in turn, became a valuable learning environment, nurturing her professional development.
Later, she transitioned to the PPMV division as a Design Engineer for Medium Voltage Switchgear. When the departments merged to form ELDS, she became the only designer with expertise in both Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems. This unique experience allowed her to share knowledge and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
In 2022, the switchgear production line closure prompted another transition. She embraced this change and joined ELSE as a Service Sale Support Manager, responsible for design and tendering work. Here, she utilizes her experience to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the service line, demonstrating the power of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
When she talks about her current role, she underlines the valuable learning opportunities, supportive colleagues, and a chance to contribute meaningfully. “Embracing ongoing learning, new challenges, and problem-solving opportunities fosters personal and professional growth,” she says. “Adapting to new teams, individuals, and unfamiliar environments, while respecting colleagues with more experience, strengthens work relationships are essential ingredients for overcoming challenges and achieving goals.”
